There’s no better way to celebrate the end of April than to spend as much time as possible outdoors, so here’s hoping for another beautiful weekend of sunny skies and mild temps! Earth Day festivities are popping up all over New Jersey, from Earth Day at Liberty State Park to Wild Earth Fest at the Trailside Nature Center to the Project E.A.R.T.H. Swamp Search at Basking Ridge Environmental Center. Keep the seasonal fun going by enjoying the Cape May Spring Festival, the WBGO Kids Jazz Concert Series or the Dia Multicultural Celebration. Cape May Spring Festival (Cape May, NJ)
Celebrate the arrival of spring in Cape May with a vibrant festival for the whole family. Activities include designer show house tours, gallery exhibits, chocolate tastings, trolley tours, crafts and much more.

Earth Day at Liberty State Park (Jersey City, NJ)
It's free, it's fun and it's about the earth--what could be better? Family-friendly activities, giveaways, the Earth Day Fair, Kid’s Kingdom and a 5K Run/Walk are just a few of the things that make this festival at Liberty State Park such a blast.

WBGO Kids Jazz Concert (Newark, NJ)
Free and open to the public, this series introduces ‘young jazz cats’ to the art form’s cultural origins and creative self-expression. Sit back and enjoy the hour-long concert before a Q&A session with the musicians.  

Rutgers Day 2015 (New Brunswick, NJ)
Experience New Jersey’s State University at this fun family event. The day will feature lively activities, interactive demonstrations, vibrant stage performances and an array of delish food choices.

Milk & Cookies: Preschool of Rock (New Brunswick, NJ)
Milk & Cookies is a lively, interactive and FREE series featuring storytelling, music and puppetry. The show invites kids to discover the joy of both watching and interacting with the arts. April's performance features Michael Napolitano and Preschool of Rock – kiddos will love their high energy and groovy dance moves!

Dia Multicultural Celebration (Clifton, NJ)
All are invited to a Multicultural Celebration at the Clifton Public Library. Mighty Puppets will perform a bilingual puppet show in the morning, then stick around for more performances, ethnic food tastings and stories read by community leaders.

10th Annual Earth Day Celebration (Roseland, NJ)
Essex County Environmental Center celebrates Earth Day with crafts, games and a variety of Earth-friendly activities. Families can enjoy canoeing, hiking, live music, dinosaur fossil exhibit and more. Essex County Beekeepers and New Jersey Audubon Society will provide special demos throughout the day.

Wild Earth Fest (Mountainside, NJ)
Families are invited to Trailside Nature & Science Center for an entertaining event to celebrate the Earth. Learn different ways to become eco-friendly and increase awareness of wildlife conservation. This event includes live animal demonstrations, educational displays, music, children's crafts, face painting and recycling Olympics.

Project E.A.R.T.H. Swamp Search (Basking Ridge, NJ)
Take part in an exciting scavenger hunt on the Environmental Education Center trails to learn about the importance of the Great Swamp as an ecological and recreational resource. Kids of all ages can enjoy activities and games that promote positive environmental actions.

Berenstain Bears Live (Morristown, NJ)
Kick back and relax at the Mayo Performing Arts Center with a live show featuring everyone's favorite bear family. A fun-filled musical based on Stan and Jan Berenstain's popular books that follows the hilarious misadventures of Mama, Papa, Sister and Brother Bear.

Earth Day at Thompson Park (Lincroft, NJ)
Celebrate Earth Day at Thompson Park Visitor Center where the kids can design eco-fashion jewelry and accessories from recycled materials. Help everyone look fabulous this spring with ideas devoted to the future of green, sustainable and ethical fashion design.
