1. The Play Place – Elmsford

This quintessential central Westchester spot has a great playground area with slides and tunnels that works well for toddlers and preschoolers, with a separate area for babies. Popular for birthday parties, there are also two large open indoor fields and a concession with snacks. There are open play times every day and on weekend mornings. A 2-hour time block runs $15 for kids and $2 for adults.

2. Tig & Peach – Pelham

This Pinterest-perfect play space features wooden climbing structures, slides, toys, and more for toddlers and preschoolers to get their energy out. Open play happens daily here, with weekday hours from 9am to 6pm that make it ideal for pre- or post-nap time. It’s $35 per child, with siblings at $20—or opt for a membership, which starts at $159 per month for one child and includes unlimited playtime, plus discounts on other offerings.

3. Legoland Discover Center Westchester – Yonkers

The tagline for this Ridge Hill mainstay—"the ultimate indoor Lego playground”—gives you a good idea of the offerings here, which of course, includes lots of Lego play and even rides, but for the early elementary school set there’s also a fun play structure in their Ninjago City Adventure area that features slides and climbing opportunities. 4. Sportime USA – Ardsley

Now in a new location in Ardsley, Sportime USA is a good spot if you have kids of varying ages since there’s so much to do: rides, laser tag, an arcade, and batting cages in the fall. But for those looking for indoor playground fun, the Kiddie Zone, with its tunnels and slides, should do the trick. Prices vary per activity; Kiddie Zone tickets are $15.

5. Billy Beez – Nyack

Another good spot for the elementary school crowd, this play center at the Palisades Mall has climbing areas, ropes, and tunnels, not to mention some 1,000 feet of slides. For younger kids, there’s the contained Mini Beez area, which includes its play structure. Top off your visit with the trampoline and ball pit areas, plus a stop at the on-site cafe for a snack if you don't want to head back into the mall. Kids from 1 to 3 years old are $16.95 and 17 and under are $20.95.

6. Fit Kid Play & Party Place – Central Valley  

This 5500-square-foot play haven—with free parking—has a large structure where kids can climb, slide and crawl as well as try their hand at the zip line or jump into the ball pit. The facility is open every day from 10am to 6pm and for 2 hours of play, it's $25 per child and $20 for siblings. Planning to go regularly? Consider the monthly membership for $119.    

7. The Castle Fun Center – Chester

While there’s not an official playground here, there are two playground-like spaces for kids that fit the bill at the massive venue: The new 10,000-square foot Inflatapark, which features a variety of bouncy areas—from a Ninja Wall to a Toddler Zone to an obstacle course with slides and the like. And Ballocity, a dual-level play area with slides, climbing structures—and lots and lots of foam balls. Prices here also vary by activity, with Ballocity running $10.25 per person and Inflatapark starting at $14.95 per person for an hour of playtime.
