This summer, Fleisher is offering fun-filled art adventures designed for artists ages 5–18.

Ages 5–6

For our youngest artists, projects will focus on a new and exciting theme each week! Campers will experiment with materials like clay, paint, and found objects. Through a mix of 2-D and 3-D work, campers will practice motor skills while thinking about space, balance, and more. 

Themes include: Under the Sea, Time Travel Exploration, Join the Circus, Exploring the Universe 

Ages 7–9

For this age group, teachers will introduce storytelling and narrative into weekly projects. Campers will learn how to develop stories both fictional and autobiographical using visual art. Depending on the medium of the week, campers will have a chance to utilize and develop their skills in drawing and construction. 

Classes include: Make Your Own Comic Book, Storytelling with Crankies, Your Block: Building Philadelphia 

Ages 10–12

Tween campers will explore all the mediums our studios have to offer! Campers will learn the techniques and vocabularies of ceramics, printmaking, photography, and more. Bringing their own artistic and personal interests, preteens can use these varied media to find new languages for their creative expression. 

Classes include: Introduction to Photography, Introduction to Screenprint, Introduction to Handbuilding, Introduction to Painting 

Ages 13–18

Teen campers will participate in half-day camps, either in the morning, afternoon, or both for two weeks at a time. These intensives are building blocks of an arts foundation, introductory in their curriculum but expansive in their project possibilities! Faculty will delve deeper into technique, allowing teen artists to walk away with portfolio-ready work. While deeply informative intensives, these classes also offer opportunities for creative teens across the Philadelphia area to meet and build community! 

Classes include: Wheel Throwing, Oil Painting, Fiber Arts, Figure Drawing, Portfolio Intensive
