Thrift store and consignment shop prices are far less than new retail, and remember, you can also sell your own gently worn clothing to these fantastic stores. Many will pay you cash on the spot, or allow you to put the value towards merchandise in the store without paying tax at check out. This is especially helpful when your kids quickly outgrow items that are still in good condition.
