If you’ve made it to the weekend, that means you survived the NJ school break—we salute you! Reward yourself with lots of fun this Saturday and Sunday. Don’t forget to pay homage to our Veterans on Veteran's Day (11/11), then take your pick from this weekend's fun activities which include dinosaurs, amusement parks, and rampant pajama-wearing in museums.

Veterans' Day Celebration

It’s also known as “Remembrance Day”, so let’s remember, NJ. Parsippany’s American Legion Post 249, Rainbow Lakes Post 451 and Veterans of Foregin Wars Post 10184 will hold their annual Veterans Day Ceremony at 11am, Friday, November 11 at Veterans Memorial Park. Family Fun and Dinosaur Fest (Edison)

See, touch, and sit on dozens of life-like dinosaur replicas at the Family Fun and Dinosaur Fest exhibit at the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center. If the dinosaur replicas aren't enough, there's moon bouncing, panning for gems and digging for fossils, a petting zoo and more.  Friday, November 11 from 12pm to 8 pm, Saturday November 12 from10 am to 8 pm, and Sunday, November 13 from 10 am to 6 pm. $6-12/person.  For more information call 215-272-5631.

iPlay Indoor Theme Park Grand Opening  (Freehold)

iPlay America has its grand opening on 11/11, but guess what? It’s open all weekend, too, just in case you missed the hoopla. An indoor amusement park that's more than just rides and games, iPlay will feature Speedway Go Karts, Cosmic Battle, Laser Tag, 4D theater, bumper cars, mini-bowling, arcades, and five different eateries.  Admission prices vary.  For more information, call 732-577-8200.

Family Arts and Creativity Workshop (Trenton)

In conjunction with Young Audiences New Jersey, the State Museum is hosting fun-filled arts activities, where parents and kids can learn and create together. Program is at 10am & 12:30pm.  FREE. Pre-registration is required. Call Young Audiences New Jersey at 609-243-9000.

Cider Making Program (Howell)

An apple a day may keep the doctor away, but pressing, peeling and stomping has its own benefits.  A staple for fall, apple cider, applesauce and apple pie were once made the old fashioned way.  Learn the techniques used on Howell Farm at the annual Cider Making program on Saturday at 10 am and 12:30 pm.  FREE admission.  For $4, Kids can create dipped candles and apple holders as part of the craft program. To round out the apple activities, visitors can nosh on apple pie and other apple treats while checking out antique apple peelers and corers demonstrated by Coles Roberts of Vincentown.  For more information call 609-737-3299.

Tots on Tour (Hamilton)

Let the tots toddle, tumble and tour the grounds at Grounds for Sculpture this Saturday. Ages 3 to 5 accompanied by an adult can listen to a story, become park explorers, and make original works of art, exploring their creative instincts. FREE with park admission. Fine Art and Crafts Show (Westfield)

Get a head start on the insane amount of holiday shopping you’ll be doing with unique finds from the Fine Art and Crafts Show.  The Armory at Westfield will host jewelers, woodworkers, fine artists, photographers, glassmakers, fiber artists, and potters.
