NJ Indoor Playspaces: Beyond the Ball Pit--Bring on Theaters, Laser Tag, Puppet Shows and Go-Karting!

1/5/11 - By Shari Simpson

When the winter cold sets in, not only do the kids bounce off the walls, they also manage to turn the house upside-down. Better plan: Let them get the wiggles out somewhere else. Indoor playspaces were created by some very wise adults, let us tell you. Our favorite kid-tested spots will keep the small ones entertained for hours, and you with a clean house (plus some sanity).

Kidz Village (Kenilworth)

One of our favorite indoor playspaces, Kidz Village is a cross between an indoor playspace with a big indoor climbing structure and arcades; and a children’s museum with exhibits including a play diner, play hair salon, tool shop, and even castle with ball launches for pretend battles. The best feature, however, is the centralized parent seating so you can actually sit down and relax and always have a view of your child. Throw in the snack bar and you have hours of entertainment!
