Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey operates three summer camps, which also provide year round rentals and programming for Girl Scouts.

Camp DeWitt in Hillsborough and The OVAL in the South Mountain Reservation in Maplewood are day camps. The sleepaway camp, Camp Hoover, is located in Middleville. Day camp runs Monday through Friday from 9 am - 4 pm (with the availabilty of before and after care to extend the day if needed), while sleepaway camp generally runs from Sunday afternoon to Saturday morning (some programs may run shorter weeks or multiple weeks).

Beyond the fun, friendship, and skill-building, the things campers do at Girl Scout summer camp foster life skills they can’t get other places. The program incorporates the Girl Scout Leadership Experience into everything campers do, which means they’ll do more, grow more, get more, and leave ready to unleash their inner go-getter, innovator, risk-taker, and leader as they say “I did that!”

• Each camp offers both general and speciality programs - speciality programs still provide a variety of camp programs but focus on a specific interest or content area.
• Anyone who identifies as a girl is welcome to participate in the summer camp programs regardless of race, religion, physical ability, economic status, or national origin.
• Not a Girl Scout? Not a problem! Register as a Girl Scout to attend camp and then make the most of your membership by participating in other programming or by joining a local troop.
• Proud to share all three camps are American Camp Asscociation accredited.
• Many programs earn Girl Scout badges.
