This weekend’s events will be music to your ears with summer concerts popping up all over the state. Enjoy free performances from  Kids Rock Featuring Big Jeff & the StarFish Band, And the Beat Goes on Summer Concert Series and Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival. Food festivals are also on the menu this weekend with Oasis Farms’ Watermelon Festival and Truckerton Food Truck & Beer Fest. Watermelon Festival (Robbinsville, NJ)
Wanna try a watermelon cookie or watermelon ice? Taste all kinds of watermelon concoctions at Oasis Farms’ melon festival. Children can partake in wagon rides, sand art, crafts and a watermelon-eating contest. Admission is FREE.

Truckerton Food Truck & Brew Fest (Tuckerton, NJ)
Bring your family and your appetite to the Tuckerton Seaport for a variety of gourmet food trucks, music and a craft beer garden for the grownups. Plus, check out all the seaport has to offer, including maritime activities, animals, mini golf and historic buildings.

Kids Rock Featuring Big Jeff & the StarFish Band (New Brunswick, NJ)
Rock out to the lively tunes of Big Jeff & the Starfish Band at this free State Theatre concert. No tickets or reservations are required. The performance is part of New Brunswick’s Hub City Sounds series. FREE

Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival (Morristown, NJ)
Head over to the Morristown Green for a free all day concert, featuring non-stop jazz, swing, and blues music for the whole family. FREE

Pinkalicious Reading and Beading (Westfield, NJ)
Enjoy everything pink at Just Bead Yourself’s Pinkalicious party, where participants can create a pink bracelet or beaded bookmark. Caregivers are welcome to make earrings. Pre-registration is required.

“And the Beat Goes On” Summer Concert Series (Princeton, NJ)
Folk pop singer Sarah Donner is this week’s performer at the West Windsor Arts Council summer concert series. Concerts take place every Saturday at the Nassau Park Pavilion, so bring the family and lawn chairs, and enjoy the music. FREE

Hub City Sounds (New Brunswick, NJ)
Dance on over the the George Street Playhouse to watch performances by students from B.A.M School of Performing Arts and NJ Ballet Arts Center. Show is part of the Hub City Sounds performance series. FREE

World Honey Bee Day (West Orange, NJ)
Bzzz! Celebrate the importance of the honey bee at Turtle Back Zoo, through hands-on stations. FREE with zoo admission.

Sense-sational Summer Hike (Montville, NJ)
Explore summer plants and animals through the fives senses on a Pyramid Mountain hike. The interactive hike is easy for all ages. Pre-registration is required.
