Summer Theater Classes for Long Island Kids

Unleash your little Shakespeare and help them harness their dramatic energy with theater classes on Long Island. Several performing arts centers and theaters offer summertime classes and mostly culminate with a production. From musical theater to scene study and stage direction, these programs help give your child the tools to help transform into various characters on stage or screen. Campers will follow the fun sounds of the WHBPAC right out of a humdrum summer and right into Musical Theatre paradise. Campers are cast on Monday, and by Friday, they are performance-ready with costumes and sets. And when they're not rehearsing with Missoula Children's Theatre. Directors, kids will be learning all about acting and singing from WHBPAC's acclaimed Teaching Artists, enjoying pizza parties and ice cream socials and participating in Spirit Days. Children 12 and up who would like to be "behind the scenes" can choose to participate as Assistant Directors.

Cultural Arts Playhouse

Spend the day at the Cultural Arts Playhouse where your aspiring actor or actress will learn the many elements that go into putting together a show including music, dance, movement and combat. Half of each day will be spent preparing a new show each session.

The Theatre Education Program Summer Theatre Enhancement is an intensive training program. It is designed to give all students, novices and seasoned performers alike, the opportunity to participate in the theatre experience.
