Get Kids Jumping at Bounce! Trampoline Sports

5/10/14 - By Linda DiProperzio

During the summer months, it’s great to spend time out in the sun. But what about when the weather doesn't cooperate? Rain - or even extreme heat - can really put a damper on plans, and those are the days when an indoor bounce place is a mom and dad’s dream come true. Kids can have a ball jumping and running around, and parents don’t have to worry about their children being outside in the elements. For New Jersey residents, Bounce! Trampoline Sports in Village Cottage, NY, is a short car ride away and a perfect day trip when the kids need to be kept occupied (because keeping them in the house will drive both parents and kids crazy!).

Bounce! offers a variety of fun activities for kids of all ages. There are three separate trampoline courts for open jumping and court sports like Trampoline Dodgeball and Slam Dunk Basketball, as well as three trampoline-to-foam pit jumping areas and two slam dunk basketball lanes. And while the place does attract lots of people, lines stay manageable because of a time limit put on participation. So kids can play in an area for a few minutes, then move on to another area or get back on line to stay with the same activities.

For the smaller set (ages 2-5) there’s Bounce Jr., a separate area with its own trampolines, inflatables, and foam pit so that parents don’t need to worry about their little ones getting knocked over or lost among the big kids.

Adults can definitely join in on the fun, but there’s also a Wi-Fi lounge with flat screen monitors hooked up to various areas of the facility, so Mom and Dad can keep an eye on their kids during open play. In addition, there’s an arcade, snack and coffee bar, and healthy-choice vending machines.

The facility hosts birthday and graduation parties for kids, as well as fundraisers, corporate/team building events, intramural high school and college competitions, pick-up games, and home grown leagues and tournaments. Skateboarders, boogie boarders, and snowboarders can practice their skills on one of the trampolines, and practice boards can be rented on-site.

Bounce! is a popular place to play, so parents are urged to reserve their jumping time in advance—either online or by phone—if possible. Mom and Dad can also sign the waiver form online to save time.

As for cost, open Bounce! time is $13 for the first hour and $11 for each additional hour. The facility also offers 1/2 hour sessions for $8 and 90 minute sessions for $20. Ages 5 and under pay $10/hour. Please check the calendar for hours and events.

Kids are sure to have a ball at Bounce! And for more kid-friendly events and activities, be sure to check out our New Jersey Calendar
