57th Street Books hosts author Michelle Schaub, who will be reading her books, Finding Treasure and Fresh-Picked Poetry. Kids can learn how to find treasure in unexpected places and poetry at the farmer’s market!

From the host:

"About Finding Treasure: My teacher gave us homework that has me quite perplexed. He asked us all to bring to class something we collect. A fun assignment, but what if you don’t collect anything? Family members, friends, and neighbors all have collections of their own. Is there time to start a collection? Or find an abandoned one in the attic? Sometimes the treasure you’re seeking is right in front of you. Join the hunt for a collection in this story told through poems!

About Fresh-Picked Poetry: Spend a day at the farmers' market with food, fun, and a fresh harvest.  Through eighteen lively poems, follow the adventures of two new friends and their canine companions as they discover how much there is to love at the market.

About Michelle Schaub: Michelle Schaub is a children’s author, veteran teacher, and poetry in the classroom advocate.
