1:00pm to 3:00pm CT
Age: 5-12 years
Price: FREE
Location:
Oriental Institute Museum

The Oriental Institute Museum hosts Little Scribe, a hands-on program where guests can learn how writing began, how it changed over time, and how it changed the world forever. Participants can see real examples of cuneiform and hieroglyphs in the galleries, and then try recreating these ancient scripts.

Kids ages 9–12 can help “evolve” a script, while kids ages 5–8 can take part in an interactive tale that describes how the alphabet was created and evolved.
