GIVEAWAY! Tickets to Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presents "Dragons"!

It's just our humble opinion, but we think that every kid should see the circus at least once in their lifetime. Even in this age of interactive video games and 3-D movies, the spectacle of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey is surprising and captivating, inspiring a jaw-drop on the most jaded of juveniles. It is our pleasure here at Mommy Poppins to be able to offer a family four-pack of tickets to Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Presents DRAGONS.  Read on for how to enter this great giveaway contest!

GIVEAWAY! Tickets to “Disney On Ice presents Mickey and Minnie's Magical Journey” in New Jersey!

I must confess—I have a soft spot for “Disney On Ice”. Generally, we don’t cotton to the expensive, big-name events here at Mommy Poppins, but I’ve seen the icy Disney twice now and even without being much of a figure-skatin’ fan, I’m sold. Read on for more information on how to win a family four-pack of tickets to “Disney On Ice presents Mickey and Minnie's Magical Journeyat either the Nassau Coliseum, Prudential Center or Izod Center, all in NJ!

A Way to Give Back: Children’s Hospital of New Jersey’s “Wish List”

This is a time of year when we can be feeling a strong desire to “give back” and yet be overwhelmed by the amount of needs out there. We participate in toy drives, help out at shelters, donate our time and money, hoping that what we give can make a difference. Today we’d like to highlight one way of giving back that really does make a difference, The Children’s Hospital of NJ’s “Wish List”.

Six Fun Things to Do during Christmas Week in NJ

The countdown has begun, but hey, there’s still time for fun and frivolity, no? Unless, of course, you’re one of those people who still needs to do all your shopping (I don’t know anyone like that, certainly not me, ahem). There are lights, holiday train rides, trees, teas and menorah lightings, so get out there and have some family time. Merry Merry!

GIVEAWAY! "It's a Wonderful Life: The Radio Play": Review and Free Tickets

For many of us, watching “It’s a Wonderful Life” is as much a holiday tradition as hanging stockings or baking cookies for the full-figured man in red. I have seen the film many times and consider myself a “IAWL” purist, so I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about a different version. Happy to report that the consistently excellent Mile Square Theater won me over with their charming “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play”. Read on for my review and a chance to win tickets to this Wonderful show.

Holiday Shows for Kids in New Jersey: “The Toymaker’s Apprentice”.

Yes, we’ve been wearing t-shirts, but it’s officially the holidays, nonetheless. Make special memories with your kids by taking them to a holiday show in NJ! Nutcrackers and Christmas Carols abound, but there are other options as well, and we will do our best to find the fun ones out there, starting with “The Toymaker’s Apprentice” at Hudson Theater Ensemble’s Children’s Series “Silly on Sixth”.
